MOST is an imaginary bridge that crosses space time dimensions and boundaries.
A passage, an experiment.
Stories and memories, traces and wonders.
Houses open up, forests are walked through, nature and culture intertwine.
MOST is a bridge between historic and new inhabitants, and between generations.
It is a bridge between village life and the arts, between what is imaginable and real.
17h00 Presentation of MOST and opening of the installations by
Antônio Frederico Lasalvia, Attila Faravelli, Elena Rucli, Francesco Schievano, Seiiji Morimoto, Thomas Lehn, Titta C. Raccagni, Tiziana Bertoncini, Valerio Bergnach.
19h30 SYNKLAVIA ← for piano and analogue synthesizer
Thomas Lehn → Pihuova
In SYNKLAVIA, Thomas Lehn fuses his lifelong partners—the piano and the analogue synthesizer—into a new instrument: a kind of synthesizer-prepared piano. In the realisation for MOST, he will open the windows of the Pihuova house to project the interwoven acoustic and electronic sounds into the outdoor spaces.
ca. 20h15 Chapati dinner
with Blaso ← Chiosco
21h30 CATCH ← for voice & objects
Ute Wassermann → Vecchia scuola
In this piece Ute's voice mixes with the sound of bird whistles, membranes and percussion objects. Highly amplified, her voice creates screaming, breathing and coloratura-like sound turbulence. She improvises with concepts that are expanded, changed or destroyed on stage in a constant process of creation.
15h00 Opening of the installations
16h00 STRANGE SONGS ← for voice and bird whistles
Ute Wassermann → Stamorčak
Ute Wassermann masks her voice with bird whistles creating a hybrid vocal persona with sculptural, oscillating, swirling tone-colours. The vocal sounds seem to be disconnected from the human voice dissolving into the sounds of birds, of machines, of electronics, scraps of otherworldly language.
17h00 SOTTILI TRAME , OVVERO CAMMINATA DELL'ATTENZIONE
Alessandra Breda → Stamorčak
What does the forest sound like to my nose? How does it sound to my ears? And who does my skin meet along the way? How much of me, from step to step, can call itself a forest too? What subtle texture is perceptible when I allow my sight to become a threshold between the reality I know and so much that is unknown to me, imagined, dreamed?
18h00 INFRASOTTILE ← for violin and dance
Tiziana Bertoncini e Barbara Stimoli → nel bosco
Inframince, for M. Duchamp, is an interval between what is barely still possible and what is already impossible to perceive, it is an effective and at the same time elusive presence" Infrasottile is the trace of a daily practice of listening to and perceiving the forest, a dialogue "on the borders between what is imagined, unimaginable and real". (Laura Pugno, Noi senza mondo, Marsilio ed. 2024)
20h00 Aperitivo and prese del progetto UNCOMMON FRUITS
ERBA (Philipp Kolmann e Suzanne Bernhardt) e Robida → Chiosco
Uncommon Fruits is a project born from the collaboration between the extended Robida collective (Topolò, Benečija) and Zavod Cepika (Kojsko, Goriška Brda) that investigates two different landscapes through the lens of fruit trees: one, Goriška Brda, characterised by an almost-monoculture of vine and the other, the one surrounding Topolò, by abandonment.

21h30 Night Installations
10h00 TRA IL BLU E IL VERDE ← Cianotipia workshop
Lara Carrer → Casa di Lara
The workshop is conceived for kids, but it’s open to the participation of all.
11h30 PER UNA CURA MULTISPECIE
Titta C. Raccagni → dalla Vecchia Scuola
In a place like Topolò, the relationship between the human and the other than human becomes an embodied practice of everyday life, a challenge to one's limits, an act of multispecies care.
ca. 13h00 Gnocchi Lunch
Elena Braida → Chiosco
15h00 CACCIA AL TESORO
SINFONIA INVISIBILE
Tiziana Bertoncini → Stamorčak
A series of tubes hanging from the trees filter the surrounding sounds, producing different frequencies; a delicate and silent presence within the place. By approaching the work, everyone can create an intimate relationship with it, listening to their own private symphony.
MUSEO DEGLI OBJETS TROUVÉS
Tiziana Bertoncini, Thomas Lehn, Francesco Schievano → Cantina casa Pihuova
Relics found in the lands, in abandoned houses and cellars. Lost objects, traces of other lives, of other stories.
UN GIORNO A SCUOLA
Francesco Schievano con la partecipazione di Italo, Angela, Aldo → Memihova hiša
Topolò, 1950. The municipal school is too small and not enough to accommodate all the girls and boys of the village, which in those years still had a few hundred inhabitants. But studying is a need and so the houses open up, families welcome and transform a simple room in their home into a first grade classroom. Through the live stories of some of the inhabitants of Topolò, we will rediscover some of the traces and memories of that part of the 20th century, a difficult post-war period, a time of hardship but also of inventiveness and community warmth.
Installation open:
Friday: from 18 to 19
Saturaday: from 10.30 to 11.30 and from 15 to 16
Sunday: from 10 to 11
DIVERTISSEMENT N.1
Titta C. Raccagni → al Cinema
Of light, shadow, and drops. An unpretentious analog experiment.
SUBTERRANEAN TRANSACTIONS
Antônio Federico Lasalvia → sul muro della Jeukina Hiša
In 2023, within the time frame of daylight, the land belonging to two bordering countries was clandestinely swapped. In place of what was previously national soil, now there lies ground coming from the opposite side of the border. The exchange was realized in the authoritative limbo that characterizes the limit between two sovereign states. As a symbolic gesture executed over an immaterial historical division, it disrupts an imaginary line that divides an otherwise continuous experience of the land.
DISEGNO IN SUONO
Elena Rucli → Fienile di Romano
Drawing in Sound is Radio Robida's radio programme, started in 2022, which investigates drawing not in its visual form of image and composition, but in its sound aspect. For this installation, the sounds of marks (pencil, ink, pen) on paper were collected during the evening hours in Topolò.
TRASMISSIONI DAL PASSATO
Valerio Bergnach → giardino della Martinkina Hiša
Sounds and words of the past travel through the air, we can relive them by listening to what this radio installation can tune in. A temporal journey through the Topolò sound, where memory takes shape in the present through listening.
Open Project realised in collaboration with Antonio Della Marina for the 26th edition of Stazione di Topolò / Postaja Topolove.
AURAL TOOLS ← 30 meters stretch
di Seiiji Morimoto e Attila Faravelli → in the village and in the woods
Aural Tools consists of a series of multiples whose purpose is to document the work of certain musicians not through the publication of records (CDs, cassettes or vinyls) but rather by investigating specific ways and processes (material and conceptual) through which sound is produced. The result is a series of objects (in a limited and numbered edition of approximately 50 copies) capable of recreating a specific relationship between sound, space and listener.
